One of the most important American stamp shows, the 38th annual National Philatelic Exhibitions (NAPEX), hosted by the American Philatelic Society, is taking place from Friday, June 1, through Sunday, June 3, in McLean, Virginia.
This year, NAPEX will include exhibits from the four biggest philatelic organizations in the U.S.—the U.S. Philatelic Classics Society, the United States Stamp Society, the Confederate Stamp Alliance, and the Carriers and Locals Society—which won’t convene together again until 2016. It’s going to be an experience you won’t soon forget!
This nationally recognized stamp show will include competitions, seminars, demonstrations, awards ceremonies, and much, much more. Two U.S. Postal Service stamps will also be reissued in new formats during the convention—Four Flags (Forever®) on June 1 at 11 a.m. and 32-cent Aloha Shirts on June 2 at 11 a.m.
Most of the events throughout the weekend of NAPEX are free and open to the public, including the two USPS First Day of Issue Ceremonies. Check out the detailed schedule of events for more information.
We can’t wait to celebrate our love of all things stamps, and even learn a thing or two! Will you be joining us?
