Santa Claus Is Coming to a Stamp Near You!

We are delighted to announce that the 2012 Santa and Sleigh Forever® stamps are now available! This block of four stamps joyfully captures Santa’s annual journey from house to house with a cargo of presents for children of all ages.

Artist Paul Rogers worked with art director Howard E. Paine to create the stamps. Rogers used two rows of two stamps each to create a “classic” image of Santa and his reindeer circling snow-covered rooftops. For inspiration, he drew primarily on his childhood memories of stories about Santa. “I grew up in California,” Rogers says, “so I’ve never seen a snowy village.”

Each envelope in this set carries an affixed stamp and an official First Day of Issue postmark (click for more info).

Well, we think he captured Santa’s magic just beautifully! These stamps will add a dash of holiday merriment to all your cards and letters this holiday season.

The Santa and Sleigh stamps are being issued as Forever® stamps in double-sided booklets of 20 self-adhesive stamps. Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate. At the time of issuance, the stamps are being sold at a price of 45 cents each or $9.00 per double-sided booklet of 20.
